The Rodillian Academy Sixth Form is hosting an open event on Thursday 23 February 2023, 4:30pm – 7:00pm.
Open to prospective students and their parents and carers, the event will include tours of the Academy’s Sixth Form facilities with current students, information about the courses on offer and talks from the Head of Sixth Form and other staff.
Alex Williams, Head of Sixth Form at Rodillian Academy, said: “As an ever-growing Sixth Form we offer a range of academic and vocational courses, from core subjects to law, media, criminology and business studies.
“Based in the Academy’s £27 million building, our Sixth Form students have their own dedicated area and facilities to promote the highest level of achievement in a safe and supportive environment.
“Our personalised Post 18 preparation programme allows our students to achieve their academic and career aspirations with our students’ securing places at some of the UK’s top universities and degree level apprentice programmes.
“In 2022, 72% of students got their first-choice university place - compared to 65% nationally. We also saw the following results:
- 21% of students achieved: A* - A
- 46% of students achieved: A* - B
- 74% of students achieved: A* - C
“We also recognise that Sixth Form life is not just about academia and therefore students have the opportunity take part in a range of enrichment opportunities that include the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, Career Ready, Sports Leaders, mentoring, volunteering, fundraising for local and national causes and debating.”
